I have finally mustered up the courage to resume my Kung Fu!! I am very nervous about going back because i know it will be very difficult, as i haven't been for many months and am very out of condition! Still, i am going for it! Sitting on my own in my flat thinking about the past and worrying about the future (indulging in negative speculation) has been very unhelpful and counter-productive; i have decided to say to myself 'f**k it!' its time for action! My masterplan is to go back to kung-fu for about 3 months and when i feel fitter and in a good frame-of-mind i will start going to a gym and working-out. Eat your heart out Arnie! By concentrating on my physical health i hope to bring about a better state of mental health, as exercise and good nutrition has been proved to have a very positive impact on emotional and mental health. The depression i experience so much will hopefully receed into the background, and play a less significant role in my life! Motivating myself will always be an issue, but once i start to see the benefits, i know this will spur me on! F**k you duvet, this is my life and i'm going to live it god- damit! Watch this space for my progress (i'd better do it now or i'm going to look a right prat).
Take care fellow bloggers, may the Force be with You!

Simon-
So you're: going back to kick to some 'ass'". Good grief man, you make me long for Canada with that spelling of the posterior. Imagine my confusion when I found out it was spelt 'arse' in Britain? (Sorry Simon I seem to be rambling...)
Good to know that you want to resume Kung Fu. I understand that you are somewhat nervous about it. Just remember that the members may give you some friendly banter for a few minutes. Then they will concentrate on their own progress during the lesson. You'll be fine once you get back into the groove.
Ofcourse your own positive recovery is about genuine motivation. As long as you stay focused on all those positive possibilities in your life, you will have a happier future.
Quite right, to heck with the duvet! There is a bright, wonderful world outside your front door. Continue to embrace this Simon.
You know that myself and many others are here for you. You have loads of support. Recently you have challenged the 'pear-shaped' scenario. You came to Mind Bloggling when you were kinda' down. You got well into the ethos, how positive is that?
Thank you Simon for your supportive comments on my most recent blog. It is much appreciated. You understand how vital it is that we comment on each others blogs. We are a community that helps each other.
Now then Simon. Go kick some ass!!
Hi Simon,
It's been good to see and chat with you recently over coffee,(was it three times in one week that we 'bumped' into each other?) We obviously frequent the same 'coffee joints'
I have great admiration for you giving up smoking....well done you! Now you can focus on the other things you want to do, when you feel ready.
I thought it was brilliant that you gave the talk at Keele Uni, that must have been way out of your comfort zone...but nevertheless you did it!
May you continue 'doing it' whatever the 'it' may be!
My very best wishes to you Simon.....D x
Go for it Simon! live the life you want to live! You utterly deserve it!
Hey Simon-
Here's a positive affirmation for you.

If you scroll down to the article "My RSS is working!" you will see that you are the featured blogger on Mind Bloggling. Hope that gives you some comfort Simon.
Best wishes Klahanie.
Simon,
Thank you for your comments on my fledgling blogging attemps, I never realised how good it is to receive feed back from people who I regard highly. It am glad you escaped the duvet, it is always brighter outside, irrespectve of the weather. Wellbeing is a balance between mental, physical and social health. Even the longest journey starts with small steps; as a friend once asked "How do you eat an Elephant?" - one bite at a time.
FEEL THE FORCE
Happy Birthday SI -and happy Christmas too! Here's to 2008! Can't wait! Emma
